Privacy
What we process, where it comes from, and how to object. Written to be read rather than to be complied with.
Who is responsible
KyanoLab, Limassol, Cyprus, is the controller for this site. The named editor is Raymond Clynick. Contact for any request under this notice: info@kyanolab.tech.
What we publish, and what we do not
We publish material about companies and platforms named in official acts — enforcement actions, court filings, sanctions listings, regulator warnings. Companies are not natural persons and are not the subject of data-protection rights.
We do notpublish the names of private individuals, even where the underlying official document names them. Where a source’s own headline names a person, that headline is displayed as the source wrote it and linked to the source; we do not index, aggregate or build a searchable record of named individuals.
Where the material comes from
Every item on the front page is drawn from the published feed of one of 14 named sources, each of which is listed on the site with a link to its own homepage. We do not buy data, we do not scrape private material, and we do not receive information from confidential sources.
This means the information is not obtained from the data subject. Publishing this notice is how we discharge our Article 14 duty to make that fact and its consequences publicly available.
Why we are permitted to do this
The site operates for journalistic purposes. That is the basis on which material relating to alleged or established criminal offences may be processed under Article 10 of the GDPR as given effect in Cyprus, and it is why this site has a named editor, published editorial standards, a public corrections log and a right of reply. Those are not decoration; they are the substance of the exemption.
Retention
The front page is regenerated regularly and carries only current items; it is not an archive, and items fall off it as they age. Corrections are kept permanently, because a corrections log that expires is not a corrections log.
Your rights, and how to use them
You may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, object to its processing, or ask for erasure. Write to info@kyanolab.tech.
We answer within one month, including when the answer is no. If we refuse, we will tell you why and tell you that you may complain to the Cyprus Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. We will not redirect you to a third-party request platform.
Where a request concerns material published for journalistic purposes, the right to erasure may not apply — Article 17(3)(a). We will say so plainly and explain our reasoning rather than simply declining.
Analytics and tracking
We set no advertising cookies and run no cross-site tracking. If you arrived here after losing money to a fraud, that is not information we want, collect or retain. We will never ask you how much you lost.
