The Crypto Fraud Record is published by KyanoLab, a data and intelligence consultancy based in Limassol, Cyprus. The named editor is Raymond Clynick. Editorial responsibility for everything on the site rests with him.

Why it exists

Everything a person needs after a cryptocurrency fraud already exists somewhere — on a prosecutor’s press page, in a court filing, on a regulator’s warning list. Almost none of it is in one place, none of it is sequenced, and none of it tells you which country’s rules apply to you.

We read 14 sources every day and publish what is actually about fraud, traced to the authority that published it. That is the whole of it. It is deliberately a narrow job done properly rather than a broad one done loosely.

How it is paid for

It is free, and it is funded by KyanoLab. There is no subscription, no paid tier and nothing to buy. We take no money from any company we write about.

We carry no cryptocurrency advertising — no exchange placements, no wallet affiliate links, no sponsored listings. That is a permanent constraint rather than a current state of affairs. A site that warns you about cryptocurrency fraud while being paid by cryptocurrency companies is not worth reading.

What it will never do

• Tell you a platform is safe. We are not able to know that.
• Offer to recover your money, or take a fee for introducing you to someone who will.
• Contact you first. If someone claiming to be us does, it is not us.
• Ask you how much you lost as the price of reading something.
